Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Platform Engineer. In this role, you will apply business requirements and knowledge of software development lifecycles to design, produce and guide the development of complex software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate significant expertise in multiple technologies, advising on design, development and implementation
  • Develop clean and efficient code, and review others' code when required
  • Manage your own workload and promote an inclusive and open culture
  • Demonstrate depth of knowledge and expertise in software development, serving as the SME in their domain
  • Develop knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies
  • Understand the technology strategy and culture, and how they impact your work and adjacent teams
  • Oversight of design work and planning for user journeys ensuring achievement of desired objectives
  • Support creation of solutions for Epics and associated implementation tasks
  • Adapt existing patterns to develop robust solutions
  • Develop understanding of commercial direction and how technology forms part of this
  • Deliver given tasks with some guidance and oversight
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, growing network and collaborating with colleagues in other domains
  • Communicate complex information clearly to relevant audiences
  • Take initiative to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on-the-job learning, certifications and projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional qualification or equivalent
  • Significant knowledge of at least one programming language
  • Moderate experience in software development and delivery roles
  • Moderate experience of multiple development technologies and knowledge of when patterns are appropriate and solutions are anti-patterns
  • Some experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, delivery management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance
  • Some stakeholder management experience
