About this Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Taxation & Accounting professional to oversee all accounting, compliance, and tax-related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and tax returns for clients including individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and superannuation funds.
  2. Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure timely compliance.
  3. Manage complex tax matters such as GST, CGT, FBT, and Division 7A compliance.
  4. Deliver business advisory services, including management accounting, board reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and succession planning.
  5. Identify tax issues and opportunities, provide actionable strategies, and ensure continuous improvement year-on-year.
  6. Conduct tax research, interpret legislation, and form well-supported opinions on technical issues.
  7. Mentor, guide, and manage junior accountants to deliver accurate and compliant outcomes.
  8. Oversee assignments independently and ensure high-level review for accuracy and compliance.
  9. Build strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and strategic insights.
  10. Groom resources, coach employees, and actively contribute to team development and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CMA (highly desirable).
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
