Drive Business Growth with Data-Driven Strategy

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineering Lead to spearhead the development of our enterprise SaaS data foundation.

This role requires a skilled engineer who can architect and scale our data platform, drive data strategy, and foster a high-velocity product development culture.

  • Data Architecture: Design clean, scalable models and develop dbt pipelines for efficient data management.
  • Data Governance: Own schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer.
  • Data Quality: Implement testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale.
About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering leadership position that requires expertise in backend or data engineering roles, deep experience designing normalized and dimensional data models, advanced skills in dbt, SQL, and Python scripting.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with tools in the modern data stack, including dbt, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations, Fivetran, and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Architect, develop, and maintain a robust semantic layer and modular dbt pipelines.
  2. Own schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer.
  3. Define and enforce data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models.
  4. Implement data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale.
  5. Guide tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack.
  6. Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ship reliable data-backed features.
  7. Mentor a growing team of engineers and participate in architecture planning and reviews.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.
  • Deep experience designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models.
  • Advanced expertise in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs).
  • Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation.

Additionally, familiarity with ERP/financial schema structures and Oracle 12c, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or NetSuite integrations is a plus.

Leadership & Communication

You should also have:

  • 6+ years in engineering leadership, architecture, or tech lead roles.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across engineering, product, and analytics.
  • Strong communication skills - able to author technical documentation and explain system tradeoffs.
