Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation of cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Build and Maintain Scalable Test Frameworks: Develop reusable frameworks for UI, API, performance, and integration testing using Selenium with Cucumber.
  • Understand Business Requirements: Interpret functional requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into test cases.
  • Strong Hands-on Experience in Automation Tools: Proficient in Selenium with Cucumber and other automation tools.
  • Experience in Framework Creation: Design and implement automation frameworks using Selenium with Cucumber.
  • Log Project Issues: Document project-related issues in the defect tracking tool designated for the project.
  • Team Handling Capabilities: Provide training to the team on related skills and ensure team members understand requirements and translate them into test cases/test execution.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ Years of Experience in Automation: Extensive experience in automation of cloud-based applications.
  • Strong Knowledge in Performance and Load Testing: Strong understanding of performance and load testing methodologies.
  • Programming/Scripting Skills: Proficient in Java, Python, JavaScript programming/scripting languages.
  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD using Jenkins, GIT, and BITBUCKET.
  • Database Knowledge: Good understanding of SQL, Database - SQL/MySQL.

Preferred Skills:

  • ISTQB Certification: ISTQB certification is desirable.

Education Requirements:

  • Any Engineering/Masters Degree: Any engineering or masters degree with relevant experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks. Additionally, they will interpret functional requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into test cases. This role requires strong hands-on experience in automation tools, as well as excellent team handling capabilities.
