  • We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to prepare high-quality menu items for our discerning guests.
  • The ideal candidate will possess advanced knife handling skills, enabling them to efficiently chop, slice, and dice ingredients with precision.
  • This role requires the ability to work effectively in any section of the kitchen, including expediting, saucier, or pantry stations.
  • A good understanding of culinary terms and concepts is essential, as well as the ability to read, understand, and follow company recipes.
  • Must be proficient in completing tasks efficiently and productively, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • The successful candidate will always follow proper food safety procedures according to industry standards, ensuring a safe and healthy dining experience for our guests.
  • Maintain their assigned area in preparation for announced or unannounced health inspections, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Reports for duty at assigned times, follows supervisor instructions, and ensures personal appearance, uniform, and hygiene meet company expectations.

Candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service, with at least 2 years as a Line Cook (shipboard experience preferred).
  • A culinary school degree is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent management skills are necessary to lead a multicultural and dynamic team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and people skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills are required to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personalized services, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills are necessary to manage kitchen operations effectively.
  • Intermediate computer software skills are required for efficient task management and data entry.
