Job Opportunity:

Seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design and implement a scalable data platform using PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud data architectures, modern data pipelines, and SQL engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a data warehouse and managing a data lake on AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable data solutions using PostgreSQL.
  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines using Python or open-source frameworks.
  • Architect and maintain a data lake on AWS infrastructure.
  • Optimize queries and indexing for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure solutions align with modern data engineering best practices.

Collaboration & Delivery:

  • Work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
  • Provide technical expertise to support data-driven decision-making.

Data Quality & Governance:

  • Implement data quality checks and lineage tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.

Future-Readiness:

  • Stay current with modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Provide guidance on evaluating and integrating new technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL: advanced SQL, query optimization, and schema design.
  • Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python or open-source frameworks.
  • Proficiency with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift Spectrum).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hosted data warehousing platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance and cataloging tools.
  • Cloud certifications.
