Data Architect

Role Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead our end-to-end data architecture strategy. As a key member of our team, you will mentor engineers and partner with stakeholders to ensure our data foundation supports business growth and innovation.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing scalable and secure enterprise data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions. They will also develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines ETL/ELT for structured and unstructured data across multiple systems.

You will create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure consistency, reuse, and governance. Additionally, you will optimize database performance using SQL/NoSQL and implement partitioning, indexing, and query tuning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide technical and business teams in architecture principles and implementation.
  • Partner with Product Engineering and Business teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need strong expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing and transformations. You should have proven experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, such as dbt, Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, Airflow. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, including AWS Redshift/Glue/Lake Formation, Azure Synapse/Data Factory, GCP BigQuery/Dataflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles, with at least 3+ years as a Data Architect.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate.
