Opcenter Discrete Developer/Expert

We are seeking an experienced Opcenter Discrete developer to lead and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) implementations and rollouts across multiple manufacturing plants.

The ideal candidate will have successfully designed, developed, and configured solutions using Siemens Opcenter Discrete MES, integrated MES with shop floor systems and automation layers using OPC UA/DA protocols, and provided post-deployment support, issue resolution, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and configure MES solutions using Siemens Opcenter Discrete.
  • Integrate MES with shop floor systems and automation layers using OPC UA/DA protocols.
  • Lead and support multi-plant MES rollouts, ensuring alignment with operational and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, automation, and IT.
  • Provide technical specifications, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with manufacturing standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MES development and deployment.
  • Strong expertise in Siemens Opcenter Discrete and OPC integration.
  • Proven track record of successful MES rollouts across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and system integration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of IT/OT integration and cybersecurity in industrial environments.
