Quality Assurance Intern

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) intern to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality software applications.

This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in software testing, quality assurance, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications using various testing techniques including automation, manual, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and customer support to ensure that software products meet high-quality standards and customer needs.
  • Designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, and other open-source automation tools.
  • Maintaining test environments, including setting up test data, configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the stability and security of the test environment.
  • Tracking and reporting software defects using bug tracking tools and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Analyzing and communicating test results and progress to stakeholders including development teams, product management, and senior leadership.
  • Continuously improving the testing process by implementing best practices, tools, and techniques to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Participating in Agile development processes including Sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
  • Experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, JMeter, and other open-source automation tools.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Ruby is a plus.
