IT Sourcing Professional Job Description

Job Overview:

As an IT Sourcing Professional, you will be responsible for managing relationships with key client stakeholders and colleagues to deliver defined business goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Key Account Management:

    • Develop a key client stakeholder matrix per category/location to maintain regular engagement and drive high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
    • Act as the primary contact person for IT category with expertise on one of sub-categories (Hardware, Software, SaaS, Network, Telecom, Co-location) and sourcing initiatives.

  2. Sourcing Planning:

    • Analyze spend and contract data to identify sourcing and cost reduction opportunities.
    • Formulate category-specific cost/license/service models for business needs.
    • Define and implement IT strategies and sourcing area plans for global and regional strategies.

  3. Project Execution:

    • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects from end-to-end in line with agreed timelines and service quality.
    • Deliver allocated savings target through effective management of sourcing initiatives.
    • Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
    • Maintain a high level of ethics in supplier and/or client engagements.

  4. Sourcing Support:

    • Provide sourcing subject matter expertise to support client engagements and pitches.
    • Provide sourcing planning and execution of projects across a dynamic environment.
    Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • University degree in economics or Supply Management and/or Legal, or industry experience equivalent.
  • Additional Sourcing/Procurement certification advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills preferred.

Desirable Experience:

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally gained in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make decisions for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong sourcing and contracting experience in procurement of IT Infrastructure Products and Services, Office IT Products and Services, and Cloud and Datacenter services.
  • Deep understanding of License Model, Service Models, IT - Applications and Infrastructure.
  • Highly competent in negotiations and contract knowledge to converse with suppliers and review contracts in English.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experienced in conducting tenders and reviewing contracts in English.
