Job Title - Application Support Specialist

This is a critical role that sits at the heart of business operations, supporting bespoke applications across various areas.

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven individual to assume this responsibility. Success in this role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment — someone who can think on their feet, manage competing priorities, and remain calm and effective under pressure.

  • Act as a front-line responder within the Application Support team, resolving incidents and service requests raised by users.
  • Take full ownership of assigned incidents, problems, and service requests in ServiceDesk Plus, ensuring timely acknowledgment, regular updates, and resolution within SLA targets.
  • Maintain and manage Problem tickets in line with the Problem Management process, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain deep functional knowledge of bespoke trading applications.
  • Provide consistent, high-quality daily support to users across multiple departments and locations.
  • Stay informed on key system developments and communicate relevant changes and enhancements to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with and documenting bespoke business applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training to stakeholders and end-users in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and determine root causes of recurring application issues.
Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of ITIL best practices and Service Desk principles is essential.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, combined with 2+ years of experience in IT support, is preferred. Certifications in ITIL or similar frameworks are also desirable.
