Job Title: Senior Operations Manager

Job Description:

The role of Senior Operations Manager involves overseeing the efficient execution of yard and shipside operations. This includes coordinating with planners, tower controllers, gate supervisors, operators, and service providers to achieve set targets.

  • Direct and control physical activities in the yard, vessel, road queue, ship arrivals, and general terminal housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Work towards achieving operations key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • E nsure all staff members wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Handle oversized containers using proper gear without delay.
  • Ensure lashers adhere to the buddy system while working at pinning, unpinning, onboarding, fixing slings, man cages, ladders, etc.
  • Maintain safety standards and strive for incident-free shifts.
  • Randomly check lashers and onboard headcounts.
  • Guarantee that personnel under your supervision effectively perform tasks to meet daily operational requirements.
  • Cultivate close cooperation and goodwill between the company and external interests in compliance with policy.
  • Communicate effectively with a high degree of self-control and implement company policies in practice.
  • Exhibit leadership, promote teamwork, and ensure direct reports and employees adhere to company policy.
  • Provide feedback as required and discuss problems or changes in procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties advised or informed by superiors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of TOS/Zodiac is preferred.
  • Equipment operation knowledge is an added advantage.
  • LMV license and driving experience are essential.
