Big Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to lead our data-driven initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess 5-12 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems using distributed computing principles and Apache Spark.

  • Expert-level understanding of Apache Spark, including its architecture, components, and use cases.
  • Proficiency in Python programming with hands-on experience in developing scalable data processing pipelines.
  • Experience with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS, Sqoop, and other related technologies.
  • Familiarity with stream-processing systems, such as Apache Storm or Spark-Streaming, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

The successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of Big Data querying tools, including Hive and Impala, as well as experience integrating data from multiple sources and applying ETL techniques and frameworks.

In addition, the candidate should be able to effectively lead teams, design and implement Big Data solutions, and practice Agile methodology in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems using Apache Spark and other related technologies.
  • Develop scalable data processing pipelines in Python and optimize them for performance.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and apply ETL techniques and frameworks.
  • Lead teams and design and implement Big Data solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-12 years of experience in Big Data engineering.
  • Expert-level understanding of Apache Spark and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and data processing.
  • Experience with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS, Sqoop, and other related technologies.
