Job Title:

PMS System Specialist

Job Summary:

As a PMS System Specialist, you will play a key role in analyzing data from various modules and preparing documents as needed. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, identifying gaps between user needs and system features, and providing input to the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze PMS data and other Jibe modules, preparing documents as required.
  • Understand and document client requirements.
  • Identify gaps between user requirements and Jibe features, provide input to the development team.
  • Test/check functional aspects of developed modules and produce reports/outcomes.
  • Contribute to training internal/external Jibe users on PMS and related modules.
  • Create software-related documents (feature documents, help documents, FAQs, workflow documents) as required.
  1. Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:
  • Visit vessels for implementation, issue fixing, and training purposes.
  • Assist vessels in data collection and update PMS data onboard.
  • Train shipboard personnel on Jibe and other modules, including database backup and system recovery.
  • Provide support to vessels/remote offices for Jibe and related modules.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3rd/4th engineer or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as a PMS coordinator/controller with naval architecture and marine engineering background.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise computing needs for ship management companies.
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
