About the Role:

The Procurement Specialist plays a vital part in the procurement team's success, ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, be proactive in driving efficiency, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports procurement managers to boost compliance and drive process improvements
  • Develops and implements processes for procurement compliance while continually monitoring non-compliance areas
  • Provides training and support to buyers on technical system skills, procurement compliance, and standards
  • Manages and resolves tickets submitted through the Service Now System
  • Creates purchase orders and revisions as per business requirements in Oracle Financial application
  • Validates supplier invoice statements and queries with EP
  • Processes invoices either through iSupplier or direct submission to Expense Payables
  • Ensures timely payment of Store Weight and Measures invoices
  • Performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Procurement and Inventory modules
  • Assists with accrual processes and year-end activities

Requirements:

  • One to three years of experience in Business Finance, Financial Management, Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Management, or related fields
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements an asset
