About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate - Cyber to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will conduct in-depth research on cybersecurity trends, analyze data patterns, and develop reports that inform our strategic decisions.

Your daily tasks will include programming for data analysis, collaborating with experts to gather insights, and contributing to the development of technical strategies for cybersecurity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Research & Analysis
    • You will conduct thorough studies on cyber threats affecting power grids, smart meters, and energy storage systems, analyzing global and national trends in cyber resilience for energy infrastructure.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity frameworks and technologies in the power sector, identifying areas for improvement and recommending evidence-based solutions.
  • Policy & Regulatory Support
    • You will review and draft policy documents, regulatory frameworks, and technical guidelines, supporting government and industry stakeholders in shaping cyber policies for energy systems.
    • Contribute to white papers, issue briefs, and strategic recommendations on cyber power security, drawing on your expertise and research findings.
  • Technology Assessment
    • You will assess emerging technologies like smart grids, IoT in energy, and AI-driven threat detection, evaluating their potential impact on the power sector.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate cybersecurity tools and protocols, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • You will liaise with policymakers, energy utilities, tech vendors, and international think tanks, participating in roundtables, workshops, and conferences to share insights and gather feedback.
    • Build partnerships for collaborative research and pilot projects, driving innovation and progress in the field.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • You will prepare detailed research reports, journal articles, and project documentation, maintaining records of findings, methodologies, and data sources.
    • Contribute to outreach materials like brochures, blog posts, and presentations, effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cybersecurity.
