Job Opportunity

The Senior Executive in the IT Department plays a critical role in ensuring seamless technology infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
  • Providing advanced technical support for hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, printers) and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Managing day-to-day IT tasks and user requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Implementing and managing software deployment, updates, and patching across university systems.
Network & Infrastructure Management:
  • Assistance in the administration and maintenance of wired and wireless networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches).
  • Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring network security.
  • Managing and maintaining server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Overseeing data backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
  • Implementation of IT security policies and procedures to protect university data and systems from threats.
  • Monitoring security alerts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents.
  • Promoting cybersecurity awareness among university users.
Project Management & Coordination:
  • Leading or assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, such as system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology rollouts.
  • Coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
  • Proven experience working in a university or educational environment is beneficial.
Desired Skills:
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional).
  • Experience with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Working knowledge of MAC PCs is advantageous.
