Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee our Health, Safety, and Environmental efforts, driving us towards a safer and more sustainable future.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an integrated HSE strategy that aligns with our organization's objectives, fostering a culture of excellence in safety and environmental stewardship.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure seamless compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and permits, minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of our people and the environment.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement targeted control measures, safeguarding our employees and the communities we serve.
- Incident Investigation and Analysis: Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures to minimize recurrence.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans, conducting regular drills to ensure the organization is prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver HSE training programs to equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties safely and sustainably.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on key HSE performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous enhancement.
- Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through initiatives such as audits, inspections, and benchmarking, encouraging a collaborative approach to achieving excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong communication channels and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective liaison and partnership in HSE endeavors.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a metal & mining industry.
- Approvals: Approved Safety officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Projects: Experience in green field/brown field expansion projects.
- Compliance: Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
