Landing Gear Systems Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Landing Gear Systems Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the design, development, and integration of landing gear systems for aircraft.

As a Landing Gear Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and selecting design solutions that meet programme requirements, balancing technical and project perspectives. You will also support LGS integration through system/sub-system interface document development, lead Landing Gear system/sub-system Qualification and Certification (Q&C) activities for future modifications/repairs, define and oversee Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including physical tests and simulations for compliance verification, manage system/sub-system requirements, and generate specifications for Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre, and Brake systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery on schedule, within cost, and quality standards. Your expertise in Landing Gear systems development and analysis, Verification & Validation, Design of Experiments (DOE), test case creation, aerospace (LG Systems) background, and familiarity with standards such as ARP4754, ARP4761, DO160, DO178, DO254, AFDX, ARINC 429 will be essential to your success in this role.

We are looking for a professional who can demonstrate:

  • Evaluate and select design solutions to meet programme requirements, balancing technical and project perspectives.
  • Support LGS integration through system/sub-system interface document development.
  • Lead Landing Gear system/sub-system Qualification and Certification (Q&C) activities for future modifications/repairs.
  • Define and oversee Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including physical tests and simulations for compliance verification.
  • Manage system/sub-system requirements and generate specifications for Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre, and Brake systems.
  • Control project timelines, ensuring delivery on schedule, within cost, and quality standards.
