AWS DevOps Architect

Job Description:

The role of a Strategic Cloud Solutions Architect at our organization is a critical position within our Professional Services Team.

You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure utilizing AWS services. This includes automating infrastructure provisioning using Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform to bridge the gap between operations and development teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architecture and Design: Lead the design of highly available, resilient, and scalable AWS infrastructure solutions ensuring adherence to best practices in performance, reliability, and security.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance of applications and infrastructure employing advanced techniques to optimize configurations and resource utilization.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with development and operations teams to define infrastructure requirements providing expert guidance on best practices driving organizational change and improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Spearhead continuous enhancements in the Change Management process to ensure controlled and efficient deployment of changes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software development and deployment processes ensuring alignment with organizational objectives offering technical support and troubleshooting for AWS-related issues.

Responsibilities also include:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in AWS cloud computing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Architect is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2 S3 EKS RDS Lambda and CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Proven experience in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions Terraform.
  • Advanced understanding of GitHub workflows including branching strategies pull requests and collaboration techniques.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies Docker and orchestration platforms Kubernetes.
