Job Title: IT Applications Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to oversee the operations of our IT applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and efficient use of academic, administrative, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Management & Operations:
    • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization.
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
    • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
    • Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
    • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance:
    • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
    • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
    • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
    • Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
    • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and ensure quality service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration & Data Management:
    • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
    • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
    • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and around 15 years of experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments. Key skills include functional and technical expertise in enterprise applications, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent project management and change management capability, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
