Solar Design and Engineering Managers oversee the lifecycle of solar projects. They ensure technical specifications are met, projects are cost-effective, and adhere to industry standards.

This role demands exceptional leadership skills, proficiency in design software, and expertise in optimizing designs to meet client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of the entire design process for solar PV power plants
  • Coordination with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders
  • Development and review of design plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Liaison with clients, contractors, and suppliers

Candidates should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering and have minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design and project management. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Sketchup, and Helioscope is also required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving reduction in overall design cost, ensuring timely project delivery, and maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the Solar Design and Engineering Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes that drive business results.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
