We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) professional to join our team in a freelance capacity.

The successful candidate will work remotely, utilizing IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel to monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and mitigating threats in real-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and analysis of security alerts using SIEM tools.
  • Identification, triage, and response to security incidents across enterprise systems.
  • Development and fine-tuning of correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards for proactive threat detection.
  • Log analysis from multiple sources, including firewalls, servers, endpoints, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with security teams to implement threat detection and incident response playbooks.
  • Production of detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and security posture improvements.
  • Continuous improvement of detection capabilities through the utilization of threat intelligence feeds.
  • Adherence to security policies and industry best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience working in a SOC environment with exposure to incident detection and response.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Knowledge of log analysis, SIEM tuning, and security event correlation.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and incident response procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
