We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Development Director to lead our global product development efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering and proven experience in managing cross-functional teams.

About the Role:

The Product Development Director will be responsible for leading the development of new products and improving existing ones, ensuring that they meet the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with technology teams and country teams to define and deliver all technical aspects of projects.
  • Lead other R&D functions (packaging, CTI, fragrance, processing teams) to ensure delivery on assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement product development and scale-up activities, ensuring robust technology transfer to countries/factories.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for assigned markets, extending business support, guidance on ongoing quality, material supply, and on-ground challenges.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Post-graduate degree in chemistry or B.Tech (chemical engineering).
  • Home care experience is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen to strike the right balance between short-term and medium-to-long-term priorities for business growth.
  • Excellent communication, experience working in matrix systems, ability to lead cross-functional teams, stakeholder management, and line management.
