Job Title: Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Leapswitch Networks Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Linux OS, as well as the management of virtualization, disk management, and Linux file systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and configuration of Linux OS
  • Understanding of virtualization (KVM, Hyperv, VMware)
  • Disk management using LVM and file systems
  • Linux file system troubleshooting
  • Understanding of RAID types and software/hardware RAID
  • Good knowledge of permissions (chmod)
  • Understanding of Linux logs for system OS and file system access
  • Basic networking in Linux
  • Use and configuration of FTP, TELNET, SCP, and RSYNC for file transfer
  • Good knowledge of Linux firewalls (IPTables, CSF)
  • Deep knowledge of DNS servers and troubleshooting issues related to DNS domains and records
  • Worked on web servers like Apache/Nginx and databases like MySQL/MariaDB
  • Worked on control panels like cPanel/Plesk and setup hosting for multiple domains and email
  • Worked on CentOS, RHEL, and Ubuntu
  • Windows Server (Preferred/Optional): Installation of Windows Server OS 2008/2012/2016/2019
  • Basic to advanced knowledge in IIS, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, and Windows Firewall
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server OS troubleshooting and software problems

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of Linux file systems, disk management, and virtualization
  • Good understanding of Linux logs and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Linux firewalls, DNS servers, and web servers
  • Knowledge of Windows Server OS and IIS
