Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of our vehicle fleet.

This critical role ensures our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end maintenance of a diverse fleet exceeding 5,000+ vehicles (EV, Diesel, Petrol, CNG) with a focus on operational uptime and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure high vehicle reliability and safety.
  • Supervise a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and workshop staff; ensure continuous training and adherence to SOPs.
  • Utilize and enhance Fleet Maintenance Dashboards (FMD) and analytics tools for monitoring fleet health, service history, component life cycles, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce breakdowns by 30%+ and identify high-failure components for redesign or replacement.
  • Collaborate with service vendors for timely repairs, warranty claim processing, and third-party service optimization.
  • Perform regular technical audits and health inspections to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory safety standards.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, and procurement teams to align fleet availability with business demand and budget plans.
  • Lead EV-specific diagnostics and maintenance protocols, including battery systems, charging infrastructure, and firmware updates.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, service schedules, and vendor negotiations to achieve cost-effective and quality-driven results.
  • Represent the maintenance department in senior leadership meetings, providing strategic insights, reports, and improvement recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a related supervisory role.
  • Proven knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and modern maintenance technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
