Project Coordinator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team for the Internal Police Reforms project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating research and operational aspects of the project, working under the guidance of the Project Director and 4 State Supervisors.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in field-level policing, particularly in crime investigation and supervision over police stations (minimum 15 years).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting primary research to identify focus areas/domains of the project, involving public consultations and household surveys
  • Supervising data analysis and conducting desk research on National Police Commission reports and best practices in States/UTs
  • Conducting field visits to study best policing practices in selected domains
  • Engaging with experts to formulate change manuals for 4 States, including revised SOPs and best practices
  • Providing leadership in preparing training materials and supervising training programs in 4 states
  • Monitoring implementation of pilot and main projects, coordinating with State Nodal Officers, and compiling monthly visit reports

The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Director, support office management, and attend to other tasks assigned by the Project Director. In the absence of the Project Director, the Project Coordinator will assume project leadership.
