Design Innovative Solid Wood Furniture

We're a leading furniture manufacturer with 29+ years of expertise in solid wood.

This role goes beyond sketching — you'll study customer purchase history, analyze trends, and develop new concepts that align with our manufacturing strengths.

Responsibilities:

  • Research customer preferences through sales data and social media trends
  • Create original design concepts in solid wood (Mango, Oak, Acacia, Teak) aligned with our export strengths
  • Draft production-ready drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar CAD tools
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections
  • Work with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity
  • Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements
  • Develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood
  • Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp)
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery
  • Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials
  • Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports
  • Familiarity with American and European design preferences
  • Prior experience with export-oriented furniture markets
