Portfolio Monitoring Analyst Job Description

Job Summary:

This role involves working with a team that specializes in global market research, collaborating with top-rated investment research organizations, bulge bracket investment banks, and leading asset managers. The selected candidate will join the Private Credit team to support portfolio managers in the portfolio monitoring process.

The key responsibilities of this role include financial spreading on Excel-based models or lending platforms, calculation of key credit metrics, identification of performance indicators, and creation of reports for the credit review process.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for covenant calculation, providing detailed rationales for covenant Met/Breach results, performing quarterly/annual/monthly reviews, and populating associated templates.

In addition to these duties, the analyst will conduct financial analysis, create business overviews, perform SWOT analyses, and provide ad-hoc support to portfolio managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in finance, economics, or accounting from a reputed institute with 2+ years of experience in a similar profile
  • Strong accounting and financial skills
  • Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build a strong team culture
