
Retail Liabilities Business Leader

Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our retail liabilities business growth across a designated region. As a Regional Head Retail Liabilities, you will drive business expansion by leading a field sales team, managing channel performance, and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing regional budgets, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to expand our liabilities customer base.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive and achieve retail liabilities business targets across the region in line with organizational objectives. Execute a strategic sales plan to expand customer base and grow core retail liabilities products (CASA, TD, salary accounts, etc.).
- Team & Performance Management: Monitor performance of the Feet on Street (FOS) sales structure and take corrective actions to ensure productivity and efficiency. Liaise with HR to identify underperforming staff and implement development or corrective measures. Provide leadership and coaching to Team Leaders and FOS executives to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Sales Infrastructure & Channel Activation: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure necessary infrastructure is available for the field sales force. Activate and manage various sales channels to maximize market reach and lead generation. Implement lead management standards and monitor lead conversion ratios.
- Training & Capability Building: Oversee training and development programs for FOS staff to enhance product knowledge, compliance, and selling skills. Ensure continuous learning and upskilling of the sales force in line with market trends.
- Revenue & Cost Management: Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets as defined in the Key Result Areas (KRAs). Manage regional costs within budget while maximizing return on investment. Continuously monitor sales performance vs. targets and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Liaise with vertical leaders and internal processing teams to ensure smooth functioning of field operations. Build and maintain referral arrangements with partners and corporates to generate liabilities leads. Work closely with mid and large corporate entities to tap into salary account opportunities at the regional level.
- Process & Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to sales governance, compliance, and bank policies in all field activities. Maintain high service quality standards and support quick resolution of customer or process issues at the field level.
Educational Requirements:
A graduate degree in any discipline is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Finance is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 3 years in a regional or leadership role managing large field teams. Strong experience in retail liabilities (CASA, TD, salary accounts, etc.) and a proven track record in driving results through field sales teams.
