Job Summary

This is a strategic role demanding exceptional foresight, financial acumen, operator management and ownership thinking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, enhancing and unlocking the performance and value of MPG's hospitality and commercial real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Asset Performance Enhancement
    • Oversee the financial and operational performance of all hotel and restaurant assets, driving efficiency and optimizing ROI through data-driven insights and benchmarking with industry standards.
    • Foster strong relationships with operating partners (Taj, Hilton, Accor), ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment towards common goals.
    • Analyze RevPAR, GOP, ADR, occupancy, and EBITDA trends; optimize yield and drive revenue growth.
  • Commercial Asset Optimization
    • Develop and execute monetization strategies through leasing, JV, REIT or selective exits, ensuring maximum returns on investment.
    • Manage leasing, tenant relationships, and yield enhancement at Technopolis IT Park and future commercial developments, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Land Bank Development
    • Drive the development of MPG's land banks in Kerala, Chennai and other key markets, evaluating feasibility, design concepts and financial models for new hotels, resorts and mixed-use developments.
    • Evaluate and manage RFPs for architects, contractors and brand/operator tie-ups, ensuring timely execution and statutory approvals.
  • Brand & Operator Engagement
    • Negotiate management agreements and commercial terms with suitable hotel brands across segments, aligning with MPG's financial and brand objectives.
    • Govern operator relationships to ensure compliance with MPG's financial and brand objectives, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Reporting & Strategic Input
    • Maintain MIS, dashboards and board presentations on asset performance, providing actionable insights for informed decision making.
    • Support the MD in preparing investment strategy papers, pitch decks and deal structuring, driving business growth and profitability.
