Platform Development Lead

Role Summary

Drive the development of our internal developer platform, enhancing its core components and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the platform's infrastructure, APIs, tools, and architecture.
  • Build self-service capabilities for developers to provision infrastructure, deploy applications, and manage environments independently.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain golden paths for common development tasks, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into the platform.

Developer Enablement

  • Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Provide training and support to developers on platform usage.
  • Gather feedback from developers and iterate on the platform based on their needs.
  • Document platform features and best practices.

Automation and Efficiency

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and other repetitive tasks.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the development workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
