Network Infrastructure Specialist

We seek a highly skilled expert to design, configure, install, and manage enterprise networks and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, with expertise in Cisco routers, switches, and routing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, architect, design, configure, install, and maintain complex enterprise networks and equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of network vendor technologies and associated software.
  • Administer Cisco network equipment, including routers, switches, access points, and controllers.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment.
  • Resolve complex issues involving various technologies.
  • Assist teams with installing and configuring Cisco Voice Gateways, Integrated Services Routers (ISRs), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers, analog gateways, and infrastructure equipment.
  • Work with carriers to configure and troubleshoot Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and other WAN circuits and equipment.
  • Mentor junior network engineers.
  • Ensure networks meet compliance standards, including PCI and HIPAA.
  • Provide on-call support to bring production systems online.
  • Oversee diagnosis and troubleshooting activities; resolve technical problems.
  • Perform system administration tasks for continuous day-to-day operations.
  • Use Ansible, Solarwinds, and other tools for configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum process for the IT systems team.
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts outside of own area of expertise.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for outages and deliver SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as needed under management's direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum eight years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, and routing protocols.
  • Experience implementing Cisco ISE and using Cisco DNA Center.
  • SD-WAN and SDN experience preferred.
  • Experience with VMware, Docker, and AWS environments, and IaC and/or NaC, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python and Ansible preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification required.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification preferred.
