Senior Network Solutions Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional professional to join our team as a Senior Network Solutions Engineer. This role will play a critical part in shaping network designs for our Private Cloud Director (PCD) deployments, ensuring seamless integrations with customer environments, and creating best practice documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Design and document cutting-edge network architectures for integrating PCD with physical and virtual network infrastructures.
  • Provide expert guidance on SDN integration efforts across multiple vendor and open-source platforms (e.g., VMware NSX, OVN/OVS, OpenStack Neutron, VXLAN, Geneve, Calico, Cilium).

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise networking and a strong background in modern virtualized and cloud-native networking approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Advisory:
    • Offer authoritative network design and troubleshooting expertise to the Professional Services Systems Integrations team for PCD deployments.
    • Collaborate with Engineering to address network architecture challenges, influence product design for better interoperability, and resolve complex escalations.
    • Support pre-sales engineers in designing network architectures for customer proposals, POCs, and technical validations.
  • Solution Design & Integration:
    • Develop and document industry-leading network architectures for integrating PCD with physical and virtual network infrastructures.
    • Lead SDN integration efforts across multiple vendor and open-source platforms (e.g., VMware NSX, OVN/OVS, OpenStack Neutron, VXLAN, Geneve, Calico, Cilium).
    • Perform hands-on configuration, testing, and optimization of networking components in customer and lab environments.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
    • Create internal best practice guides for network design, deployment, and troubleshooting in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
    • Develop customer-facing documentation to support network planning and implementation.
    • Deliver enablement sessions for Professional Services, PreSales, and Support teams on networking topics and technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Stay current with advancements in networking, SDN, NFV, and cloud-native network architectures.
    • Work with Engineering to propose new features and enhancements for improved network integration and automation.
    • Contribute to the refinement of Professional Services delivery methodologies for network design and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise networking, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
