Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and developing scalable data infrastructure and pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake. This role requires a visionary leader who can mentor and inspire a team of data engineers to work closely with cross-functional teams to enable robust data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering collaboration.
  • Architect and implement large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data warehouses using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and software teams to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data engineering processes, standards, and tools across the organization.
  • Support presales activities by contributing to RFPs and client engagements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 18 years of professional experience in data engineering with at least 12 years in leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT design, and data lakes.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, and Databricks ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration tools, and data governance best practices.
