Job Title: Assistant Plantation Manager

Role Overview:

This is a hands-on role that involves overseeing end-to-end management of farm operations, ensuring effective land preparation, procurement of agricultural inputs, and daily monitoring of crop health.

The ideal candidate will have strong operational management skills, with experience in planning and organizing, resource management, quality control, yield optimization, labor management, and sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
    • Validate land for energy crop farming by preparing specific packages of practices.
    • Develop and implement planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans.
    • Oversee the efficient use of resources, including land, labor, machinery, and finances.
    • Ensure high-quality crops and products through adherence to standards and best practices.
    • Implement strategies to improve crop yields and overall productivity.
    • Develop and maintain an efficient workforce, including recruitment, training, and supervision.
  • Sustainability and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain sustainable agricultural practices, including environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Communication and Leadership:
    • Train, motivate, and lead a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Specific Tasks:
    • Monitor and report on all plantation sites using digital integration.
    • Oversee land clearing, preparation, and maintenance.
    • Supervise planting, fertilization, pest control, gap filling, and other cultivation activities.
    • Manage harvesting operations and ensure proper post-harvest handling and storage.
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
    • Maintain accurate records of all plantation activities.
