Business Intelligence Engineer Role

The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer role is a crucial position in an organization's technology team. The BI Engineer plays a key part in driving the development and implementation of advanced business intelligence and analytics solutions.

This role requires strong technical expertise and analytical skills to empower cross-functional teams with actionable data insights that support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and excels at building highly scalable solutions. They will enjoy learning, implementing new technologies, and be innovative in suitable situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across a team of BI engineers to elevate overall BI capabilities.
  • Build visually stunning, interactive dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and high-performance BI architectures and data models.
  • Use advanced analytics techniques, such as statistical analysis and machine learning, to uncover hidden patterns and trends in data.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business partners to define and deliver impactful BI solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or similar senior-level role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex, large-scale BI architectures and data models.
  • Proficient in using BI tools and technologies, such as Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Looker, AWS Athena, Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data-oriented programming languages.
