Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and resilience of our network infrastructure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on network performance, ensuring optimal availability and utilization for informed decision-making.
  • Manage firewall access and implement IP whitelisting, blocking malware IPs as per SOC guidelines.
  • Conduct regular reviews of firewall rule bases to ensure seamless traffic flow and robust threat detection.
  • Device Configuration & Backup
  • Take and restore backups of network devices, maintaining data integrity and streamlining maintenance and upgrades.
  • Make VLAN modifications on L2 switches with precision, ensuring efficient network operations.
  • Access & User Management
  • Activate or deactivate Domain IDs and VPN access for users based on their roles, ensuring secure access control.
  • Review administrator access and prepare reports, implementing changes as needed to maintain data security.
  • Load Balancer Operations
  • Configure load balancers, take backups, and create new application rules to optimize traffic distribution, ensuring high availability.
  • Incident & Change Management
  • Respond to Level 1 incidents via email and phone calls, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and implement RFCs to drive change management, collaborating with OEMs for effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Cloud & Virtualization Awareness
  • Stay updated on AWS and Azure firewalls and security best practices, enhancing cloud readiness and security posture.
  • Understand ACI/AVS switch installation principles to support hybrid network environments.
