Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Relations professional to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring effective communication throughout their healthcare journey.
Your key responsibilities will include welcoming and assisting patients during registration, admission, and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. You will also listen to patient concerns, complaints, or feedback, and take appropriate actions to address and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
You will coordinate with different departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services, appointments, and follow-up care for patients. Additionally, you will provide guidance and assistance to patients in understanding their rights, responsibilities, and available support services within the healthcare facility.
Another important aspect of this role is educating patients and their families on relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including billing and insurance processes. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records is also a critical responsibility. You will ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies.
