**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating and presenting a variety of pastries and baked goods.

About the Job:

The Assistant Pastry Chef will be responsible for supporting the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation of baking ingredients, following traditional and modern recipes, maintaining stock levels, kitchen cleanliness, and orderliness, assisting in decoration and presentation of finished products, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare baking ingredients and follow traditional and modern recipes, including cake decoration and dessert making skills.

  • Maintain stock levels, kitchen cleanliness, and orderliness, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

  • Assist in decoration and presentation of finished products, showcasing attention to detail and creativity.

  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the workspace, adhering to industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong pastry baking, cake decoration, and dessert making skills, with experience following and adjusting recipes.

  • Have relevant certification or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts, with prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Showcase ability to work collaboratively and take direction, with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
