Senior Research Chemist

altM is committed to advancing scientific knowledge through the development of novel organic compounds for various applications. As a Senior Research Chemist, you will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, and characterizing complex organic molecules using cutting-edge analytical techniques.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute multi-step organic synthesis routes to target high-value compounds.
  • Purify and characterize organic molecules using advanced analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to optimize synthetic routes and troubleshoot reactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment.
  • Requirements:
  • PhD / Master's degree in organic chemistry / related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 3+ years of industrial experience in organic synthesis, purification, and characterization.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research.
