Executive Underwriting Opportunity

Job Overview: A Senior Underwriting position has become available for a dynamic and experienced underwriter to analyze risk factors associated with businesses, ensuring that policies are customized to meet their specific needs.

The primary role involves coordinating with underwriters at various insurance companies to obtain quotes and underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze risk factors and customize policies by adding/removing covers, riders, or endorsements.
  • Coordinate with underwriters at various insurance companies to obtain quotes and underwriting decisions.
  • Follow up for approvals, reinsurance support (if required), and final underwriting clearance.
  • Verify all required documents from clients (KYC, proposal forms, declarations, etc.).
  • Stay updated on underwriting norms, product circulars, and compliance requirements.
  • Explain underwriting requirements, terms, exclusions, and conditions to clients.
  • Support the sales team by providing underwriting guidance and clarifications.
  • Address client queries related to risk approvals or policy issuance delays.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex underwriting concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and developments, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
