Project Lead - Architect

A seasoned architect is sought to drive impactful consultancy projects as a project lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading multidisciplinary commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale consultancy projects with full design and regulatory strategy oversight.
  • Manage small to mid-value projects independently, ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure architectural documentation meets client and statutory requirements.
  • Chair interdisciplinary meetings, coordinate teams, set clear project goals, and manage resources to meet strict deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Perform thorough reviews of architectural, civil, and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external MEP engineers, leading coordination meetings to prevent technical clashes.

Compliance & Permit Liaison:

  • Develop a permit application strategy and maintain proactive communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Interpret and enforce local/national building codes, fire regulations, PESO guidelines, NBC, and municipal by-laws.
  • Submit compliance documents and manage technical responses to authority queries.

Team & Process Management:

  • Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to ensure well-coordinated technical outputs.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for documentation and design integrity.
  • Implement quality control protocols for architectural and MEP coordination across projects.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience leading commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep experience preparing and submitting statutory documents to agencies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.
  • Preferred: Experience with MEP drawing review, coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
