Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior SQL Database Architect to lead our database strategy and design. The successful candidate will have a strong background in SQL database design principles, experience with performance tuning of enterprise environments, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The Senior SQL Database Architect will be responsible for designing and developing logical and physical data models to support application requirements. This includes writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic between tables. The role also involves collaborating with application developers to ensure efficient data access patterns and scalable database interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design: Design and develop logical and physical data models to support application requirements.
  • SQL Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic between tables.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with application developers to ensure efficient data access patterns and scalable database interactions.
  • Performance Tuning: Assist in scaling and managing the database from an application performance perspective.
  • Query Performance Monitoring: Monitor and improve query performance, ensuring responsiveness under high load.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Experience: Strong experience with SQL Server.
  • Data Modeling Tools: Familiarity with data modeling tools and performance tuning techniques.
  • Concurrency and Large-Scale Data Access: Experience in environments with high concurrency and large-scale data access.
  • Business Logic or Financial Systems: Exposure to business logic or financial systems is a plus but not required.
