Main Responsibilities
Quality Control:
- Review and update the quality control plan for all products.
- Manage the overall quality control process for all products and machines.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the quality control system and ensure compliance with Dextra's quality policy.
- Report quality issues related to raw materials and products.
- Liaise with planning, production, and customer departments on quality matters.
- Ensure product certification compliance.
- Analyze quality control data to evaluate system effectiveness.
- Review and report quality control performance improvement.
Management:
- Enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) rules.
- Monitor and report company quality key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Enhance quality awareness within the company.
Quality Management:
- Review and validate quality and control requirements in Dextra's offers.
- Provide quality documents, such as generic test reports and inspection plans.
- Identify key points to inspect in relation to other departments.
- Apply statistical approaches to determine inspection levels (ISO 2859).
- Plan inspections, including inspector allocation, location, schedule, tools, and methods.
- Issue inspection work instructions and test plans.
- Apply and follow up on inspection plans.
- Issue non-conformity reports (NCRs) and maintain statistics.
- Manage non-conformities to minimize risks and impact on quality, cost, and delay.
- Issue accurate reports and certificates of compliance.
- Solve customer quality issues.
- Support technical problem resolution using statistical and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with product certification and customer requirements.
- Manage measuring tools, including maintenance and calibration.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze quality control data to evaluate system and process effectiveness.
- Propose actions, tools, systems, procedures, and animate quality circles to avoid repeating non-conformities and improve quality KPIs.
- Propose, review, and adjust quality control work instructions, procedures, and the production quality manual.
- Review, optimize, and maintain quality parameters set up in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Safety, Training, and Intellectual Property:
- Monitor and follow up on work safety to ensure compliance with the company safety policy.
- Train quality control personnel and ensure they are qualified to perform planned quality control activities.
- Lead intellectual property matters.
Nuclear Safety:
- Ensure nuclear safety is considered in decision-making and actions, taking precedence over any other consideration.
- Use a balanced, rigorous, and prudent approach to decision-making regarding quality, cost, and schedule to ensure nuclear safety is never compromised.
- Ensure personnel understand their responsibilities and the consequences of mistakes, as well as those of their colleagues and how these responsibilities complement each other.
- Ensure key operational and technical positions are filled by competent and knowledgeable persons empowered to speak openly.
- Avoid unsafe decisions, acts, behaviors, and conditions.
- Take prompt, conservative, and preventive actions when an incident affecting nuclear safety is reported, even if not fully understood or documented.
- Communicate transparently to the Board of Directors any issue that might compromise nuclear safety, including human, technical, or organizational issues.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical. 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems and quality control. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
