At Valeo, we're driven by a vision to invent a greener and more secure mobility. As a Quality Assurance Engineer - Production, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting audits in production to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Safety and Environment Rules: Familiarize yourself with and enforce these rules within the site.
  • Quality Tools and Practices: Know, apply, and teach others to apply quality rules and tools.
  • Performing start-up audits to ensure the release of the first piece aligns with the corresponding standard.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of quality devices (Poka Yokes, integrated controls) according to the standard.
  • Displaying and using standards in production, and notify the corresponding Supervisor/Engineer of any non-conformities.
  • Verifying controls performed align with control plan requirements (content, method, frequency, results, reaction to non-conformities).
  • Stopping at First Defect (Assembly lines) and Reaction To The First Defect (Upstream processes): Audit adherence to rules and QRAP monitoring according to the standard.
  • Ensuring all product is identified according to its status and standard.
  • Auditing deviations: Method, training, documentation, parts identification, duration/number of parts versus deviation limit.
  • Supporting or performing StEDE assessments.
  • Conducting site-specific or product-specific audits.
  • Preparing Quality Alerts and training the concerned team on their content.
  • Ensuring no Rework activity without an approved work instruction, trained Operator(s), and documented results.
  • Training Operators on Quality requirements and managing their Magic Square level 2 certification.
  • Maintaining measurement equipment in good condition, calibrated, and re-calibrated according to the schedule.
  • Respecting Product integrity: Handling, identifying, and protecting components, work-in-progress, semi-finished product, finished goods to guarantee delivery to the customer in optimal conditions.
  • Identifying and securing suspect or non-conform product in a prison/quarantine cage to prevent use in internal processes or shipping to external customers.
  • Notifying the Lead Operator and/or Supervisor in case of any deviation in their line(s) or machine(s).
  • Defining and validating immediate containment actions for any quality issues with the Supervisor and Quality Engineer.
  • Attending and participating in ongoing training specific to the position.
  • Escalating detected deviations with Quality Engineer and Manager.
  • Participating in Stop Scrap analyses.
