IIHMR University is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Research Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact research projects in healthcare management, hospital administration, public health, and health systems research.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be critical in shaping the university's research agenda, developing proposals, securing funding, and managing research projects from conception to completion. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in healthcare research and an interest in working at the intersection of academia, healthcare systems, and policy.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of research projects in healthcare management, public health, and related disciplines.
  • Identify and prioritize research areas aligned with the strategic goals of IIHMR University, focusing on current healthcare challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop high-quality research proposals for external funding from national and international agencies, including government bodies, NGOs, and donor organizations.
  • Manage and monitor funded projects to ensure they are executed on time, within budget, and in line with grant requirements.
  • Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data related to healthcare systems, policy, and management.
  • Prepare and present research reports, policy briefs, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, government agencies, international organizations, and research collaborators.
  • Work closely with IIHMR faculty, students, and external partners to advance research objectives and knowledge dissemination.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and students involved in research activities.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs to build research capacity within the university and among external partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and advanced statistical tools (SPSS, STATA, R, etc.).
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems in India and globally, and a deep understanding of public health policies, hospital management practices, and health economics.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to develop high-quality research proposals, grant applications, and research reports.
  • Ability to communicate complex research findings effectively to both academic and non-academic audiences.
  • A Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Health Economics, or a related field.
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent research qualification is preferred.
