Procurement Specialist: Beauty and Personal Care

This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in sourcing cosmetic raw materials, fragrances, and packaging. Experience with nutraceuticals and supplements as an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source reliable suppliers of cosmetic raw materials, fragrances, and packaging vendors.
  • Conduct factory audits, compliance checks, and vendor capability assessments.
  • Work with manufacturers to develop new formulations across skincare, haircare, and bodycare products.
  • Ensure GMP, ISO, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory standards are met.
  • Build strong partnerships with private label and contract manufacturing partners for scalable production.
  • Lead procurement for raw materials, packaging, and formulations.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and commercial terms with cosmetic vendors.
  • Benchmark ingredient costs and packaging innovations across vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to cosmetic regulations (FDA, CDSCO, GMP, ISO, Ayush, etc.) and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Liaise with QA/RA teams for product testing, stability studies, and compliance documentation before market launch.
  • Partner with New Product Development (NPD), R&D, Marketing, and Operations to bring innovative beauty products to life.
  • Align sourcing timelines with product launches and e-commerce go-lives.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure smooth inbound/outbound flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Minimize stockouts and excess inventory for beauty lines.
  • Build long-term relationships with strategic cosmetic suppliers.
  • Track vendor KPIs: delivery timelines, cost competitiveness, quality compliance, and innovation support.
  • Stay updated on cosmetic ingredient trends, packaging innovations, and global supplier ecosystems.
  • Share insights with NPD/Marketing to launch differentiated beauty products.
