Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead our team in the design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Key responsibilities include leading the design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Working with industrial I/O systems; familiarity with B&R PLCs is an advantage.
  • Contributing to risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Designing AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Taking ownership of assigned projects, and when required, leading a team of engineers.
  • Preparing and maintaining electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Managing and maintaining product data in PLM systems.
  • Providing hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
  • Supporting FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
  • Strong understanding of SEMI Standards, NFPA, and UL compliance requirements.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
