Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to oversee end-to-end project delivery, operations, and maintenance of metering infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the Energy Utility sector, particularly in Telecommunication and Metering industries.

This role combines strong project and business management capabilities with deep technical knowledge of deployment, network operations, and field support in the energy domain.

  • Project Management:

    • Lead planning and execution of AMI deployment projects, including smart meters, communication modules, and backend systems.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.
    • Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors for timely delivery and compliance.
    • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of utility metering infrastructure.

    • Ensure system uptime, performance, and availability for HES, MDM, and telecommunication networks.
    • Manage field operations for installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
    • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Ensure smooth integration and functionality of HES platforms with MDM systems and field devices.
    • Collaborate with IT/OT teams to maintain data integrity, cybersecurity, and network health.
    • Analyze system performance reports and implement corrective actions as required.

  • Business Management:

    • Monitor and control project costs, invoicing, and financial reporting in alignment with business goals.
    • Provide regular status reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders.
    • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development and strategic planning.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Key Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
    • 14+ years of relevant experience in Energy, Utilities, or Telecommunication, with a focus on metering systems and operations.
    • Strong knowledge of AMI, HES, MDM, and smart grid technologies.
    • Solid understanding of project lifecycle management, field deployment strategies, and vendor coordination.
    • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA, and reporting systems).
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience in regulatory compliance and utility industry standards is a plus.
